The story
I like rockets that come back.
AFRL Scholars, summer 2024
As an AFRL Scholars intern in Albuquerque I designed, built and tested a staged-recovery rocket, through eleven design iterations in OpenRocket and CAD. It reached 3,200 feet on its barometric altimeter and came back under its parachute. The rest of the summer went to the machine shop: FDM and resin printers, a CNC lathe and mill, and a laser cutter, prototyping parts for autonomous robotics projects.
American Rocketry Challenge
In high school I founded and captained our American Rocketry Challenge team, and raised $2,000 from business sponsors to fund it.
